Consideration and possible action regarding a variance request to Ordinance No. 2014- 0910 for setbacks on the property located at 113 North Barker Street presented by Mayor Marx made a motion on the table regarding 113 North Barker Street for the variances to the East would be 5 feet, to the West would be 15 feet, to the North would be 10 feet, and to the front of the house facing South to Barker Street would be 5.3. Consideration and possible action regarding Ordinance No. 2024-9-2 making appropriations for the support of the City of Thrall for the fiscal year October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025 and adopting the annual budget of the City of Thrall for the 2025 fiscal year; providing for a publication clause, severability clause, and open Mayor Marx read the caption of the ordinance, as required by law, and noted the typo correcting 2025 fiscal year to 2024 fiscal year. Consideration and possible action regarding Ordinance No. 2024-9-3 levying ad valorem taxes for the use and support of the municipal government for the City of Thrall for the Tax Year 2024; providing for apportioning each levy for specific purpose; and, providing when taxes shall become due and when same shall become delinquent if not paid; and providing for a publication clause, severability clause, and repealing Mayor Marx read the caption of the ordinance, as required by law. Mayor Marx made amotion to approve the ordinance with the motion "I move that the property tax rate be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of $0.420931, which is effectively a 12.59% increase in the tax rate" with a second by Commissioner Martin.
