Call to Order, Roll Call, and Determination of Quorum. Invocation. Mayor Meek gave the invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance and Pledge to the Texas Pledge. Mayor Meek led the pledges to the flags.  WORKSHOP SESSION  4. Workshop on proposed budget and tax rate for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. questions. Council and Staff discussed the proposed budget and tax rate.  City Manager Ashley presented the proposed budget and tax rate to the Council and answered  REGULAR AGENDA  5. Consider and act upon a proposed tax rate for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 and placement of a proposal to Council Member Lusk made a motion that the City Council vote to place a proposal to adopt a $0.430000 tax rate, which is higher than the No New Revenue tax rate of $0.409359 on a future  adopt the proposed tax rate on the agenda ofa ai future meeting. meeting agenda; motion seconded by Council Member Weiler. Consider and possibly act upon approving a resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed Council Member Lusk made a motion to approve a resolution calling for a public hearing for the proposed 2024 tax rate; to be held on September 18, 2024, at 6 p.m. The tax rate adoption will be held on September 18, 2024, at the regular City Council Meeting. Consider and act upon approving a resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed budget Council Member Lusk made a motion to approve a resolution calling for a public hearing for the proposed FY 2024-2025 budget; to be held on August 21, 2024, at 6 p.m. The FY 2024-2025 budget adoption will bel held on September 18, 2024, at the regular City Council Meeting.
