Call to Order: Terry Edwards at 6:00 p.m. - Invocation: Led by Terry Edwards. D. Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Paul Ray. B. Board Members Present: Terry Edwards, Paul Ray, Jerry Terry, and Darrel Vidrine E. Approval of Minutes for August 12th 2024, Planning and Zoning Board meeting. Jerry Terry made ai motion to approve the minutes. Paul Ray seconded. Record ofVote: Terry Edwards for, Paul Ray for, Jerry Terry for, Darrel Vidrine against; motion carried 3-1, approved. F. Scheduled Business: 1. Second Public Hearing: A petition for a zoning classification amendment from MU-1 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District' to MU-3 Downtown Mixed-Use District' for 501 N. Main St., A0071 T. Burbridge Survey, Tract 8B S02. Lindale, Smith County TX. Submitted by April Smith. The public hearing was opened at 6:07 p.m. Steven Lloyd, Director of Planning and Development introduced the item. The applicant was not present at thej public hearing. No citizen comments were: made during the public hearing. Public Hearing was closed at 6:10 p.m. 2. Discussion and possible action to approve the petition for a zoning classification amendment from MU-1 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District' to MU-3 Downtown Mixed-Use District' for 501 N. Main St., A0071 T. Burbridge Survey, Tract 8B S02. Lindale, Smith County TX. Submitted by April Smith. There was discussions among board members with regards toj parking already being an issue downtown. It is the understanding of the commission that the Downtown MU-3 District is not to be expanded. Jerry Terry made ai motion to deny the petition for a zoning classification amendment from 'MU-1 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District' to 'MU-3 Downtown Mixed-Use District' for 501 N. Main St., A0071 T. Burbridge Survey, Tract 8B S02. Paul Ray seconded; motion carried 4- 3. Discussion and possible action to approve the final plat of Woodcrest, being part of R.W. Chapman Survey A-220. M. Morris Survey A-672, creating 24 lots. Located at 12752 FM-16 W Lindale, Smith County, Texas. Submitted by Jeff Belier. Steven Lloyd, Director ofF Planning and Development introduced the item. Jeff Belier was present. Paul Ray madea motion to approve the final plat ofWoodcrest, being part ofR.W. Chapman Survey A-220. M. Morris Survey A-672, creating 24 lots. Terry Edwards seconded; motion carried 4-0, 0, denied. approved. 4. Discussion and possible action to change the meeting time for the Planning and Zoning Commission to start at' 7:00 P.M.
