COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor Dianal Martinez Pete Morales, Commissioner Pilar Garza, Commissioner Trinol Medina, Commissioner STAFF PRESENT: Robert L. Salinas, Interim City Manager Cris] Palacios, City Attorney Alexandra Rangel, City Secretary Melisa Gonzales, Special Projects Yvette Mendoza, Finance Director Roy Contreras, Fire Chief Alicia Cano, Human Resources Julio Villarreal, Public Works Director CALL MEETING TO ORDER  COMMISSION. ABSENT: Robert De La Garza, Mayor Pro-tem  Hugo Perales, Computer Technician Rogelio Alaniz, Interim Police Chief Saul Solis, Interim Police Chief Adela Perez, Purchasing Agent  Mayor. Diana Martinez called thej first regular meeting held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019t0 order at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Alamo Municipal Building. Mayor Diana Martinez led Special Projects Director Melisa Gonzales announced this Saturday, June 22 students from Behavior Health Solutions will be doing as graffiti cleanup at the sports complex. On Friday, June 28, the first musical night at Down Town Central Park at 7:30pm. In addition, this Saturday. June 29 at Fire Station No. 21 will be conducting af file oflife event Lion President. Nelly announced the 4"ofJuly celebration from. 3pm-10pm.  the Pledge of4 Allegiance and Father. Angel ledi the Invocation.  Presentations and Announcements  from 10am-lpm.  Commissioner, Pete Morales thanked. Arnold Robles, Steve Vela and the volunteers for a successful track and tennis tournament and the Alamo Police Department and Med Care for helping out. In addition, wishing the wolverines good luck as they compete in the AII- Father. Angel announced this Sunday will be an honorary. service to honor Chief Rolando D. Consideration and action to approve on an ordinance updating the Drought Contingency Special Projects Director Melisa Gonzales presented on an ordinance to update the Drought Contingency Plan, this is done every 5 years. A recommendation from the Complete Count Committee is as many members as possible; names are needed by this Friday. H. Consideration and action to approve a resolution authorizing the City Manager as the Authorized Official Representative and the submission of the grant application for the 2018 Operation Stonegarden through the Office of the Governor Criminal Justice Special Projects Director Melisa Gonzales addressed the award amount of $100,000 from the Office ofthe Governor Criminal. Justice Division to cover overtime and vehicles Commissioner Pilar Garza motioned to approve Commissioner Pete Morales seconded. Consideration and action to award thel low bidi for the lease oft the copiers Interim City Manager Robert L. Salinas addressed it's time to renew the lease ofcopiers, itis recommended by our purchasing agent to go with Nevill Document Solutions at a Commissioner Trino Medina asked ifv we have been in contract with Nevill before. Consideration and action regarding a contract with Cultura Marketing & Advertising Mayor Diana Martinez responded that she did and this was from the last presentation Interim City Manager Robert L. Salinas confirmed this presentation was done within the last regular meeting. Mr. Torres is proposing over 2,000 tv commercials andi radio Commissioner Pete Morales stated the investment cost is $21,561 and currently our. EDC have an IT studio and charging at $1,000 a month. One change was the addition oft patrol personnel and the change ofs shifis, with the change from 81 hour shifis to. 101 hour shifis the decrease ofovertime and an increase ofoverlapping shifts allowing more coverage on the road. In addition, the launching oft the Crime Stoppers Program and the Neighborhood Watch program, now Mayor Diana Martinez asked ifthis whole time the crime stoppers program was not Interim Police Chief Rogelio Alaniz responded the intent was there, but no it was not.
