The following members of council were present: Mayor Jerry Pickett Mayor Pro-tem C. K. Netterville Treasurer John Williams Secretary Sherry Adams Lorraine Turk Karrel Waller Alderman Johnny Grimes was absent. Also present were Marshall Tim Lene, Assistant Marshall Rodney Tindel, city clerk Agnes Vaughn, Richard Faust of Fitz and Shipman, Mr. Gillard, Donald Giblin, and Mr. Langham of Langham Santitation. A quorum being present, Mayor Pickett called the meeting to order and indicated that the first order of business was review & approval of October 16, 1990 minutes. Upon motion duly made by John Williams and seconded by Lorraine Turk the minutes of the meeting of October 16, 1990 were approved as presented. Council then entered a discussion on Buildings and Grounds. Mr. Waller presented a request from the Bevil Oaks Fire Dept. for material for new floor in the room above the city hall. Mr. Waller. said he would do the work for no charge for labor. Mr. Richard Faust of Fitz & Shipman, Inc. an engineering firm, presented drawings for a new platt dividing T-130, located on Inwood, into 2 lots. The city council approved the platt with some revisions. Motion made by Mr. Waller and seconded by Mr.Netterville. Building permits were approved for Mr. Wise on Thousand Oaks Mr. Langham was recognized, he requested a rate increase, for garbage pick-up from $7.50 to $9.00 plus tax,due to increase of fuel and landfill fees, which had gone from $75.00 to $128.00. Mr. Netterville made a motion to exhept this increase and Sherry Adams and Mr. Johnson on Chimney Rock. ERECT # seconded the motion. Roads and Drainage followed with a discussion of a.letter received from Mike Ramsey about the condition of River Bend Drive from Hwy 105 to River Oaks Blvd. Mr. Waller will check. on.signs (travel at your own risk) to be posted on River Oaks Blvd and Hwy 105 for those traveling on that portion of River Bend Drive. The council next heard the Marshall's report. The patrol Mr. John Williams submitted his letter of resignation due to moving because of a change in jobs. The council excepted his resignation.
