Judges Ofice stating that the. streets that were being proposed do not comply with the use of ARPA funds, they have different criteria than what we would normally use. The City has some discretionary, funds int the amount of $750,000 that may be designated for future projects, neededi repairs, and/or new equipment. Salinas responded that the answer he was given was that it didi not comply with the HUD requirements which ARPA does not go off on. HUD requirements. It is uncertain why they gave that answer. They are treating it like itis a HUD project. ARPA does allow for the funds to be use for streets, drainage, or any public works utilities prefer but, in this case, use thej funds so that we can get it approve next time. unfortunately it was denied.
