In the four year of competing in cross country and track he has broken many Cruz has been a member of the National Honor Society and will graduate within the top 10% of his class. The Lady Wolverines made school history by being the first ever- undefeated district champions. They also went on and qualified for state playoffs and beat Donna Bravettes in the Bi-District round in one game. They then advanced to the Area round and defeated the Port Lavaca Calhoun Sandies in a three game series to win the Area Championship.
