In the four years at our high school he has distinguished himself as the best distance runner to ever come out of the Rio Grande Valley. In the four year of competing in cross country and track he has broken many Cruz has been a member of the National Honor Society and will graduate within the top 10% of his class. The Lady Wolverines made school history by being the first ever- undefeated district champions. They also went on and qualified for state playoffs and beat Donna Bravettes in the Bi-District round in one game. They then advanced to the Area round and defeated the Port Lavaca Calhoun Sandies in a three game series to win the Area Championship. The Lady Wolverines advanced to the Regional Quarter Finals and there run stopped there against the Calallen Wildcats.
