MALABAR TOWN COUNCIL TRIM MEETING MINUTES September 23rd, 2024, 7:00 PM  This meeting of the Malabar Town Council was held at Town Hall at 2725 Malabar Road. Council Chair Mayor Patrick T. Final Reading - Adopting the Proposed Ad-Valorem Millage Rate for Fiscal Year AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF MALABAR, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE MILLAGE RATE OF 45000FORTHELEWYOFADVALOREMTAXWITHIN THE TOWN OF MALABAR FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 2024, THROUGH  SEPTEMBER 30, 2025, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  Exhibit: Agenda Report Number 3.a.  Ordinance read by title only.  Clerk Kohler states that the 2024/2025 Fiscal Year proposed millage rate is 4.5000 mils on property values. This rate represents an 11.2% increase over the roll back rate of 4.0469. The final millage rate of 4.5000 shall fund the general fund expenses commencing October 1s1, 2024, and ending September 30th, 2025. The legal ads as required by State Statute have been  run in Florida Today and are attached to the agenda report of both items.  PUBLIC HEARING OPENED. PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED. Discussion: None. Final Reading - Approve Budget for Fiscal Year 2024/2025 (Ordinance 2024-10) ANORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF MALABAR, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDAADOPTING THE BUDGET OF $8,093,959 FOR THE FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 2024, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  Acquaviva, Aye; CM Vail, Aye, Motion Carries 5-0.  Exhibit: Agenda Report Number 3.b.  Ordinance read by title only. PUBLIC HEARING OPENED. PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED.  Staff Comments: TM Morrell states there is nothing new from the First Reading of this Ordinance and provides some additional explanation on some of the State and Loan funds    included in the budget. The Rocky Point Road neighborhood has been paved, and Corey, MOTION: CM Scardino/CM Acquaviva to approve the Final Reading of Ordinance 2024- ROLL CALL VOTE: CM Scardino, Ave; CM Hofmeister, Aye: CM Acquaviva, Aye; CM  Township, Brook Hollow and Atz Road are also oni the schedule.  10.
