Town Administrator Sandoval presented The approval ofTime for Interim Town Administrator hours There was ai motion for the Attorney to draft a contract for the Interim Town Administrator and use the same contract that was previously used. Unfortunately, the only contract that was ever entered into was a permanent position. Town Administrator Sandoval was open to recommendations from the Council on avenues to cover time during the interim. The Town Administrator Sandoval has tracked her time with the Town's Time sheet template. STAFF REPORTS: Town Administrator- Town Administrator Interim Sandoval mentioned she has received many applications for ChiefofPolice, but zero for planner and requested for the position to be updated to development director. The Council was all in consensus. She mentioned Finance Director Peterson and Finance Clerk Hernandez have been diligently working very well with keeping the budget up to speed with CPA Mike. Town Administrator Sandoval requested the Council ifit would be ok for there to be an update on the Town's Finance each quarter, the Council all in consensus approved. Town Administrator Sandoval gives kudos to the staff for all their hard work and would like to find a date to recognize staff with a dinner. Town Administrator Sandoval updated Council that the Trunk or Treat will be on October 26th from 4-6j pm. She also updated the Council that the ground was broken for the additional building, and it will be complete in 6 Town Clerk- Town Clerk Borja updated the Council of the Florida League of Cities Ridge Dinner being held in Zolfo Springs on September 12. On the same date the Chamber Luncheon will be in Davenport at the Tom Fellows Event Center. The Town Clerk Borja asked Council for permission to attend the Fall Academy Clerks Conference from October 13-17, 2024, Council approved. She also asked for permission to take off on Sept 6. Friday. He also wants ai road study ofMain Street and asked ifs signs can be added for no heavy trucks. The Interim Town Attorney said he will look further into the signs for the 'no heavy trucks' per Council Member Roberson commented on Crump Road there are trucks being parked on the right Council Member Slavens commented on the liquor store on 27, asking ift the store went through the Town Ordinance. of way overnight, it will be given to Code Officer Harris for violation. the proper protocols.
