TOWN OF LAKE HAMILTON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024  MINUTES 5:05) PM  TOWN COUNCIL FIRST BUDGET HEARING FY2 2024-2025 MEETING  The Town Council of Lake Hamilton held the First Budget Hearing Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 100 Smith Ave., Lake Hamilton, FL 33851.  CALLTOORDER INVOCATION  Mayor Wagner called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.  The invocation was given by Slavens. PLEDGEOF ALLEGIANCE Pledge of Allegiance led by all. ROLLCALL  Roberson, Mathis, Slavens and Wagner were present  Staff: Town Clerk Borja, Public Works Director Henry, Finance Director Peterson, Interim Town. Attorney Sabatini, and Town Administrator Sandoval were present. FIRST BUDGETI HEARING MEETING BUSINESS Mayor Wagner opened the public hearing at 5:06 pm. Mayor Wagner read the following for the record. balanced budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. the Reason for the Increase in Ad valorem tax revenue. increase over the previous year's rolled back rate of7.1239 mills.  Iwill: now open the First public hearing to consider levying the Millage Rate and to adopt a Reviewed the Budget and Discussed the Percentage Increase in Millage over the RBR and The taxing authority's name is Town ofLake Hamilton. The Town ofL Lake Hamilton taxing authority is considering levying ai millage rate of 8.4276 mills, which represents a 18.3% The reason for the increase is to fund increased costs ini the General Fund including an increase  inj personnel and for Capital Improvements. Mayor opened up the floor for any comments. Town Administrator Sandoval presented.  Public Hearing and First Reading of Resolution R-2024-15 to Adopt the 2024-2025 Millage Interim Town Attorney Sabatini read Resolution R-2024-15 for the record. RESOLUTION R-2024-15: A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OFI LAKEI HAMILTON, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE: MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BEGINNING AT 12:01 AM ON OCTOBER 1, 2024, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER  Rate. RESOLUTION R-2024-16: Al RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LAKE HAMILTON, FLORIDA; ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BEGINNING AT 12:01 AM ON OCTOBER 1, 2024, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; REFLECTING THE REVENUE GENERATED TOGETHER WITHTHE SOURCES OF THE REVENUE; DELINEATING THE EXPENDITURES BY DEPARTMENT OF ACTIVITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FORS SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING Mayor Wagner opened the public hearing; with no comments the public hearing was closed. Resolution R-2024-17. ENDORSING THE MEMBERSHIP APPORTIONMENT PLAN FOR THE POLK TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION Interim Town Attorney Sabatini read Resolution R-2024-17 for the record. RESOLUTION R-2024-17: RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE MEMBERSHIP APPORTIONMENT PLAN FOR THE POLK TRANSPORTATION. PLANNING ORGANIZATION AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMANMAYOR TO: EXECUTE AN Mayor Wagner opened the public hearing; with no comments the public hearing was closed. NOTICE OF SECOND BUDGET READING AND ADOPTION:  Mayor Wagner reminded Council the Notice of Second Reading and Adoption will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 5:05pm for Resolution R-2024-15 to Adopt the 2024-2025 Millage Rate and Resolution R-2024-16 to Adopt the 2024-25 Budget and CIP.
