MISSION STREET BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT DISCUSSION Director Shah gave the presentation. The following person(s) provided public comment: John Dustin Moved by Vice Mayor Shepherd Romey and seconded by Council Member Chou to direct staff to proceed with the final design and bidding of the project to include the elements selected by the City Council for the beautification of the Mission District. This item will come back to City Council for final project approval before it goes out to bid. AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (SGVCOG) FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY REGIONAL FOOD RECOVERY PROGRAM The City Council authorized the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Agreement between the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and the City of San Marino for participation in the San Gabriel Valley Regional Food Recovery Program. 5. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT #1 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE IMPERIAL COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION AND THE CITY OF SAN MARINO FOR THE PROVISION, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF ADVANCED NETWORK (DATA) SERVICES AT THE CROWELL PUBLIC The City Council approved Amendment #1 to the Agreement between the Imperial County Office of Education and the City of San Marino for the provision, installation, and maintenance of advanced network (data) services at the Crowell Public Library, and authorized the City Manager to execute the LIBRARY agreement on behalf of the City. 6. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. R-24-26, UPDATING THE CONFLICT OF CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2024 REGULAR MEETING PAGE 3 OF4 INTEREST CODE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARINO The City Council adopted Resolution No. R-24-226, updating the Conflict of Interest code of the City of San Marino. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 0-24-1413 AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 14.18.07 MAINTENANCE) AND 23.16.03 (DEFINITIONS) AND ADDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 23.16.24 (PROHIBITION ON ARTIFICIAL TURF AND GRASS) TO PROHIBIT ARTIFICIAL TURF AND SYNTHETIC GRASS IN THE CITY The following person(s) provided public comment: Dennis Kneier Vice Mayor Shepherd Romey moved, seconded by Council Member Talt to adopt Ordinance No. 0-24-1413, an Ordinance of the San Marino City Council amending Municipal Code Sections 14.18.07 and 23.16.03 and adding Municipal Code Section 23.16.24 to prohibit the installation of artificial turf and synthetic grass in the City.
