Kirkpatrick; Will be loaning out some very useful hose management drill props built by Captain Digirolamo for Amador Fire Protection District to complete some training; Pancake Breakfast at Station 131 downtown on October 6, 2024; Fire Prevention Week Oct 6-12 will be Police Chief, Chris Mynderup - Oral interview panels conducted for open Police Officer position- Nino Hatfield in currently in backgrounds, offered the position; Officer Razo remains on as a reserve officer; Incident 3:30AM 9/23/24 behind hospital- reports that fire was visible from hospital- fire resulting from DVi incident between 28 year old Cheyenne Brown and partner- allegedly lit her female partner'st tent on fire while her partner was inside, her partner was able to escape, Ms. Brown was later arrested int the Sutter Amador Hospital ER lobby and booked intoj jail for felony attempted homicide/felony arson ofan inhabited structure/felony assault with a deadly weapon/misdemeanor domestic battery; thanks to Fire Department for keeping the fire contained to a 20ft by 20ft area; PD will be contacting property owner Mayor McLean stated City legal counsel is drafting an ordinance meant to provide PD more power to at. Simpson - Recognition for Stan Lukowicz at the Highway House on October 1st for 50 years ofservice to Rotary; annual City auditors will be here to audit city finances next week. City Attorney Representative (Remote), Joanna Gin - Confirmed attorney's office is currently in process ofdrafting a camping ordinance. 6. COUNCIL REPORTS. Councilmember Gonsalves - Economic Development Committee 9/25/24 1:30PM. Councilmember Godde - Absent. Councilmember Stimpson - Attended the local Amador Formation Commission meeting and discussed a merger between Lockwood Fire District and Amador Fire Protection District, which was approved. Vice Mayor Simmons - Received several phone calls about the homeless incident last night- encourages Mayor McLean - Attended Amador County Transportation Committee meeting/Amador Transit Committee meeting, Chamber of Commerce Mixer, Beautification Committee meeting, Christmas Delights Committee meeting, another Chamber ofCommerce meeting, al Regional Transit Mitigation Fund meeting- discussed road conditionsprioritizing which road improvement projects will be funded in the future; Attended Hospice fundraiser with City Manager Carl Simpson, Knight'sl Foundry fundraiser. There is another COC Mixer coming up at the. Amador Flower Farm. Hei is working on KVGC radio to advertise the Archway kickoff meeting scheduled for October 1st at 6PM at the old Courthouse. Council discussed the terms oft the agreement and various options for ACRA to possibly assist with paying for improvements at the Scout Hut and/or increasing the cost of the lease. September 23, 2024 City Council Meeting Minutes General Manager of ACRA, Michael Rock, provided some clarification on his concerns regarding the agreement. ACRA'sr next board meeting is on October 9, 2024 and they can revisit the agreement on that date with newi information. Mr. Rock advised the charges in the lease need to meet requirements for City Manager Carl Simpson and City Attorney Representative Joanna Gin provided Council with details regarding specific grant requirements for the improvements at the Scout Hut that are already complete.
