CITY OF HOLLAND CITY COUNCIL MEETING Kuhlmann Center - 107 West Travis Monday, September 13, 2004  7:00 PM Minutes*  Meeting was called to order 9/13/04 by Mayor Curt Murray @ 7:02 PM. There were no 1. Review and Act on approval of previous Meeting Minutes. Sharon Simmons moved to accept minutes, seconded by Eddie Bookman, all were in favor and motion passed. A. Consider/Act on seeking financial assistance for possible indebtedness. It was notedby mayor and city secretary that city finances are running on bare minimum, two seasonal employees have been cut and expenditures have been cut to a minimum. There was  citizen comments. 2. OID BUSINESS  no action by council. 5. NEW BUSINESS  A. Consider/Act on. Appointments to Planning & Zoning - Frank Horak and Jerry Decker were proposed as members. Terri Crum motioned to accept nominations and Sharon B. Consider/Act on adopting 2004-05 Budget. Sharon motioned to accept budget as presented, seconded by Eddie Bookman. All were in favor and: motion carried. C. Consider/Act on setting effective tax rate for 2004 - motioned by Sharon to accept rate@ .4111, seconded by Mae Smith, all were in favor and motion passed. D. Update on Home Grant - James Conquest said he was talking with a modular home'maker/brpker in Waco with regard to the Grant. Hej plans assessment and environment studyon each property. New Schedule to be provided next week. Terri Crum will be the  Simmons seconded. All were in favor. Motion passed.  contact council person. Otherwise call City Hall, or. James Conquest.  6. Committee Reports:  A. Planning and Zoning Committee. Debbie McKeon had no report. B. Beautification Committee- Rosemary Bookman asked for more involvement by  the community. A. Council Members' Reports: need for security lighting.  7. Council and Staff Reports:  1) Central Texas Water Supply Meeting - Mae Smith discussed same lawsuit. 2) Eddie Bookman reported on1 the Public Library - reported limbs on TV cable and B. Consider/Act on Utility Director Monthly Report - Eddie motioned to accept C. Consider/Act on Police Chief Monthly Report - Mae motioned and Terri D. Consider/Act on Court Clerk - Municipal Court Monthly Report - motion to accept was made by Terri Crum, seconded by Mae Smith, all were in favor and motion E. Consider/Act on City Secretary-Monthly Financial Report, Grant Status Report.
