Any repairs identified during the inspection are noted and scheduled for correction. Visual Engineering Inspections Washout Inspections ROVI Inspection EASL POIND submitted Visual Engineering Inspections Av visual engineering inspection is a comprehensive assessment conducted by a qualified NACE certified tank engineer to evaluate the condition oft thei tank's exterior and interior coatings, ensure compliance with safety and sanitary regulations, verify structural integrity, and identify any areas requiring repairs. The inspection process involves a thorough examination of the tank's surfaces, including the coating quality, signs of corrosion or damage, and potential areas of concern. Detailed photos and a comprehensive report are then prepared by the engineer, providing valuable insights and recommendations for maintenance or corrective actions to ensurei thet tank'scontinued safe operation and regulatory compliance. Washout Inspections The washout inspection is conducted bya a company service crew and requires that the tank bei fully drained. The crew removes any sediment/sludge that has collected ini the storage tank and pressure-washes accessible areas. Once the tank has been cleaned, any needed repairs/touch-ups are made and photographs documenting the condition oft the interior are taken. The final stage of the process is tor replace the man-way: gasket and to disinfect the interior per AWWA Spray Method #2. The tank is now ready to be put backi into service. A report of the findings and photographs is given to the tank owner. This report can be used as documentation for the conditions of thet tank and proof of compliance for the various State agencies. If the repairs can't! be made at this time, the corrections will be: scheduled and completed as soon as possible. Remote Operated Vehicle Inspection A remote operated vehicle (ROV) inspection involves using a specialized underwater robot equipped with cameras and sensors to examine the condition and integrity of the tank. This inspection method is conducted without draining the tank, making it a cost-effective and efficient way to assess potential issues such as corrosion, leaks, sediment buildup, or structural damage. ROV inspections provide detailed visual data and measurements, allowing operators to identify any areas of concern and plan for necessary maintenance or repairs. By utilizing ROVS, water utilities can ensure the safety and quality of the potable water supply without disrupting service ori incurring extensive downtime. Repairs Items of repair that are identified during routine maintenance inspections are scheduled based upon priority. Should the tank owner experience a needed repair in the interim, the owner can contact your account manager and the repair will be scheduled. Routine maintenance repairs will be scheduled as quickly as possible. Crucial ore emergency repairs are: scheduled at once. Offensive, graffiti is treated as an emergency repair and is attended to at once. Within thel last few years we. have received very. little serviçe and communication from Utility Service. Wehad to call multiple times to get the same float repaired on at tank, and it wasi never repaired correctly. There was at tank that was in very poor condition on the exterior and they would not agree toj paint it, Ittook months to receive the inspéction reports, and when Id did: receive them, most of the reports said that the interior was not inspected but would be at the next inspection. Ibelieve that they havel lost focus oft their core business and are: focusing on all the other products they now offer We have since moved our maintenance contracts for tank maintenance over to American Tank Maintenance and are completely satisfied with the job that they are. doing for us. They rebuilt the float system on the above mentioned tank within the first couple of weeks of the new contract and have taken care ofs several repairs including new vents, screens, washouts and various other repairs that had been neglected by Utility Service. The tank that needed an exterior paint job was brought forward from the schedule- (we put together) and even received a full coat of primer. We have received all of our reports within one to three weeks after repairs and inspections have been completed. We are extrémely happy with American Tank Maintenance and would definitely recommend them to anybody causing our tanks to be neglected. needing tank maintenance.
