Putnam County Board of Tax Assessors - Minutes- September 10,2024 Members Present: Shelby Storey, Shona Bales, Evan Reese Absent: Also Present: Virginia Daley, John Richter Paula Spivey, Chuck Anglin The Putnam County Board of Tax Assessors held a regular business meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the Tax Assessors office. Chairperson Storey called the meeting to order Minutes from the regular business meeting held on August 13, 2024 were reviewed by the board. In a motion made by Reese and seconded by Bales, the minutes were unanimously Chief Appraiser Anglin submitted al letter to the board requesting reinstatement of homestead exemption for parcel #084B-005 for 2024. Homestead was removed due to the taxpayer deeding the property to his step-daughter int the midst of a family crisis in October 2023. Two weeks later the property was deeded back to him. In a motion made by Reese and seconded by Bales, the board unanimously agreed to reinstate homestead for 2024. In a motion by Bales and: seconded by Reese, the board unanimously approved these values and the mailing of 45- Day notices dated today's date (1 page attached in minutes). Mr. Anglin also submitted value adjustments on three (3) personal property accounts. In a motion by Reese, seconded by Bales, the board approved the mailing of 30-Day notices dated today's date for these accounts (1 page Al list of adjusted values for real property was provided to the board for review.
