COUNTYMANAGER UPDATES:  Mr. Rineri informed the Commission on. Local option sales tax] payment of $31,432.00, from the Dept. of Revenue. The Engineer came out and inspected the cemetery and construction will: resume, everything is  looking good.  Department Head Updates:  Mordie. Askew gave updates for Recreation Department. ALCOHOLORDINANCE. FIRST READ, Second read tol be added as agenda item on September 6th DFACS Reappointments of Cornelia King and Phyllis May, add to agenda for voting item.  TRANSIT authority appointing oft two new members VICE-CHAIRMAN BIDDLE and COMMISSIONER CHAIRMAN COFFEY discussed overtime for employees. Emergencies due to callouts are understood, but will still need to be approved by management, and an employee can still use comp time instead ofovertime. No overtime unless department head and county manager are aware and approve and sign off on it. Looking intoa MAINTENANCE BOND, CHAIRMAN COFFEY spoke on roads county took over from Jack Niebel, in lieu ofbond, check was given to county but never cashed, survey conducted by engineer has come out and looked at roads, everything checks out and the engineer wrote letter of release. BIN MINTER said no votei is needed; the obligation is expired. CHAIRMAN COFFEY stated to type a letter saying check hasl been released, and have it notarized. We can release the check back to. Mr. Niebel and he is no longer obligated. 2021. AUDIT CHAIRMAN COFFEY would like to have WILL GEER our auditor come to our next Work Session: meeting to brief the Commission oni findings. We: received our auditl but never our briefing. Bin Minter stated the Dept of Audit site does have our: 2021 audit submitted, howeveritwas not submitted to Carl Vinson. CHAIRMAN COFFEY also updated COMMISSION on 2022 Audit status from Ms. Dunn. She  DOUGLAS, to be added as agenda for voting.  policy by next work session.  doesn'thave a completion date as ofyet, but we are: right on target with it.  EXECUTIVE SESSION:  AN Motion was made to gointo executive session at 6:571 p.m. Commissioner Frost made the Motion, seconded by Commissioner Biddle. The vote to enter executive session was unanimous.  Regularmeeting reconvened: votes were cast within the session.
