Nixon, Et. 1906 Nixon City Council Minutes for 9.11.2023 Regular Meeting The Nixon City Council met in Regular Session on the 11th day of September 2023 at 5:30 pm in the Members present were: Mayor Dorothy Riojas, Justin La Fleur, Maggie Gaytan, Ellie Dominguez, Patsy Scherrer, Melissa Pompa, Eddie Escobar, Harold Rice, Tanya Torres, Jeremy Bustos, Chief Miguel Cantu, Donald Hoffman, Briana Dominguez, Delia Aguirre, Nina Hernandez, Michael Martinez, Mark Mendez, Aq quorum was declared present, and Madame Mayor Dorothy Riojas called the meeting to order at 5:34 Council Chambers at City Hall 302 E. Central Ave Nixon, TX 78140. Patricia Dingler and Sheriff Keith Schmidt. pm. Roll call was conducted. All members present. and the State of Texas was recited. Ap prayer was given by Mayor Dorothy Riojas. And the Pledge of Allegiance toi the United States of America Citizens to be Heard. Donald Hoffman spoke during this time. He gave a report on the progress of the Motion was made by Maggie Gaytan and seconded by Justin La Fleur to approve the minutes of the August 21st, 2023 Special Meeting/Budget Workshop and the August 28th, 2023 Special Meeting. Motion carried 5-0 Ap presentation was given by the Tourism and Development board. Travis Hansen spoke regarding a proposal from Blue Marlin. The proposed amount for the architectural work would be for $2060.00 and that would include the engineering and foundation fori the wall. Motion was made by.
