Thel Regular Council Meeting oft the City of Ingleside was called to order by Mayor Adame at 6:30p p.m. on April 9, 2024, at Ingleside City Hall, 2671 San Angelo Ave, Ingleside, TX andl live video streaming. 2. Roll Call. With Council Members present a quorum was established. Pro-Tem Tracy Long, Julio Salinas, and Mayor Adame. Mayor Adame ledt the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag. 5. C Citizen Comments and Reports Chuck Sullivan, 2627 Hwy 361, addressed the Council about being the owner ofa local business, police presence of walkthroughs which are deterring customers every night, stated the revenue numbers of what is being lost, would like the Police Department to be under control, and was refused the right to speakt to a supervisor when requested. Martha Habluetzel, 3508 Ave A, addressed the Council about Ingleside Cleanup on April 13th at 10 a.m., need youth to help, stated that the ball was dropped when it came to notification ofTree City USA, and that Tree City USA recognition does not needt tol be in November. City Manager Lewis made a statement of fact that Staffis working onj putting together a1 true celebration where recognition willl be given tot those who were all involved. Ricardo Trevino, 2322 Morgan Lane, addressed the Council about being a Mayoral Candidate, being censored by local groups, and would like to see citizens given more the three (3) minutes to speak during Citizen Comments. Yielded the rest ofhiss speaking time Chuck Sullivan, 26271 Hwy 361, addressed the Council about the Cleanup taking place on Saturday, asking for the past two (2): years tol have curbs and drains cleaned up, buildings have grass that ist tool high around them, and making the roads look better. Josh Ligman, 2535 5th St., addressed the Council about the empty lot next door to his property being a residential lot but is being used as an industrial storage lot, that there is 1500-gallon gas tank 15 feet away from his house, and that he has informed Code Vicky Cook, 3009 Lakeview West Dr., addressed the Council about Tree City USA, how it is about biodiversity on all levels and not just about trees, how everything interacts for Chuck Sullivan to address the Council again. City Manager Lewis updated the Council about reaching out tol League representatives to be on the Sports Fields Committee and has only received interest from two (2) people. Mayor Adame requested that Staff reach out to the Leagues again. D. Update on Tree City USA Designation. Discussion was held between Council Members and City Manager Lewis about recognition for those who contributed to Tree City USA, signage to recognize clubs, email to the community, and congratulations coming from" Texas A&MI Forest Service Bill Greene. Presentation ofa donation from the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce to the City of Barbara Gregg from the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce presented a donation check to Mayor Adame for the Animal Control Facility.
