CLOSE 1ST PUBLIC HEARING AND OPEN 2ND PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON 2025 ANNUAL BUDGET The City of Magnolia will hold al Public Hearing on the proposed Operating Budget for the fiscal year that begins on October1 1, 2024 ande ends on! September 30, 2025. The hearing willl be held at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 18111 Buddy Riley Blvd., Magnolia, Texas, on September 10, 2024. All interested parties are invited to attend. This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $154,917 which is a 7.87 percent increase from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this Ad copy of the proposed budget, fees, rates, charges, building permit fees, and their associated revenue, which are attached hereto tot the budget, and which is incorporated into the budget, is on file with the City Secretary for public review and inspection. He explained that Magnolia needs to update their current water CCN and will need a wastewater CCN in the near future. He explained Bleyl Engineering would be the one to take care oft this. MOTION: Upon a motion to approve made by Councilmember Huitt and seconded by Councilmember Jacobs, the Councilmembers voted, and the motion carried unanimously, 3-0. 14.CONSIDERATION - ADOPT ORDINANCE NO. 0-2024-019 AMENDING CHAPTER 90 TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) STOP SIGNS ON MAGNOLIA CREEK DRIVE WHERE IT INTERSECTS ASTER KNOLL LANE TO CONVERT IT TO AN "ALL WAY STOP" Tim Robertson presented this item and explained the current and proposed stop sign locations at the Neither Police Chief Kyle Montgomery nor City Attorney Leonard Schneider offered any objection.
