The Regular Council Meeting of the City of Ingleside was called to order by Mayor Adame at 6:30 p.m. on May 14, 2024, at City Hall 2671 San Angelo Ave., Ingleside, TX With Council Members present a quorum was established. Mayor Pro-Tem Tracy Long, Julio Salinas, and) Mayor Adame. Council Members Present: Steve Diehl, Stewart Wilson, David Pruitt, John Salinas, 3. Invocation. Council Member Pruitt] led the invocation. 4. Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Adame led the Pledge of Allegiance tot the U.S. flag. 5.Citizen Comments and Reports. Chuck Sullivan, no address listed, addressed the Council to discuss city safety concerns. Sullivan spoke about as scenario about the Police Department doing their jobi incorrectly. Barbara Gregg, 2809 Main St. addressed the Council toi invite them to the BBQ event on May 31-June 01 at N.O. Simmons Park. In addition, mentioned to Council that judges Martha Habluetzel, 3508 Ave A, addressed the Council on behalf of the Garden Club. Habluetzel stated the plant sale was a suçcess, bringing in $2,600, and gave thanks for support; spoke about the clean up on Ave. A and Sunray Road and previously having Boy Scouts Troop 26 participate in the cleanup, but unfortunately the Troop has disbanded. Habluetzel gave an update on the success of the cardboard collection for the recycle center and requested tol have two proclamations for National Garden Week. June 2-8 and Courtney Shane, 2181 Capehart, addressed the Council and congratulated Mayor Adame fori re-election. Staff Comments and Reports. a. Council Comments and Reports. Mayor Adame recognized the Ingleside High School BBQ Team as State Champs and requested tol have something on the next agenda. Council Member Diehl recognized National Police Week. b. Announcements of Community Interest and/or upcoming events. No discussion was held on this item. Update on upcoming Charter Review Commission. City Manager Lewis explained the city-wide Community Clean-Up Event will be held from June 8-15, 2024. City of Ingleside residents may drop off unwanted items at the City of Ingleside Public Works Yard excluding tires, appliances containing Freon, oil, batteries, compressed gas, paint and other hazardous materials. Presentations 7. Code Compliance Workflow Presentation Gene Delauro, Interim Building Official, addressed the Council and gave a brief presentation on Code Compliance Workflow. Delauro explained that Code Compliance Division is responsible for addressing nuisance and property standard violations to ensure a_safe and healthy environment for the Ingleside community. The main goal of compliance is to resolve violations to reduce neighborhood deterioration and ensure property values. The presentation reviewed goals, primary codes, new software/community benefits, beautification, and liens A Code Compliance Workflow chart was discussed in detail. Consent Agenda 2024. 8.
