CALLTOORDER  Mayor Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. INVOCATION - Invocation by Mayor Pro-Tem Dawson Nitcholas.  3. PLEDGE OFALLEGIANCE 4. ROLL CALL  Ricky Thomas (Mayor) - present Mike Upchurch - present Sam Ellis - present Staff Present: Sarah Dusenberry Citizens Present:  Brittany Melton - present Dawson Nitcholas (Mayor Pro-Tem) - present Aaron Marshall = not present  5. Citizen Comments: This itemi is available for citizens to speak for up to five (5). minutes on any subject of which the City of Tom Bean has authority. However, no discussion or action, by law, may be taken on the topic unless and until properly posted on ai future agenda. The council may direct the mayor to resolve or request the matter tol bej placed on at future agenda. Completed speaker's request forms must be submitted to the City  Secretary at the beginning of the Council meeting.  PUBLIC HEARING 2024-2025TAX RATE  The public hearing regarding the 2024-2025 Tax Rate opened at 6:02 p.m. and closed at 6:03  p.m.  NEW BUSINESS  6. Discuss and take action on approving Ordinance No. 2024-04 to adopt levying the tax rate of  0.570000 for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year. Must be a record vote.  Motion: Upon a motion made by Melton and seconded by Upchurch, the council voted four (4) and none (0) opposed to approve Ordinance No. 2024-04 to adopt levying the tax rate of  0.570000 for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.  1IPage    ADJOURNMENT  Motion: Upon a motion made by Nitcholas and seconded by Upchurch the Council voted four (4): for and none (0) opposed to adjourning the Special Session oft the Tom Bean City Council at  6:06 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024.
