City of] Midway City Council Meeting Minutes September 27, 2021  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Brenda Ford.  The Invocation was given by Councilman John Whitmire, Mayor Brenda Ford led the Pledge. Those in attendance included Mayor Brenda Ford, City Secretary Debra Newkirk, Council members Angie Thornton, Rex Newkirk, Gus Kangos, John Whitmire and Steve Parrish, Water Operator Janet The Mayor opened the Budget Workshop at 7:02 p.m. Items discussed during the workshop included: a request by the Midway Volunteer Fire Department: for a line item for the Fire Department int the City's budget; the possibility ofar newj phone system in City Hall; and an annual subscription to DiamondMaps. Com that would allow the City to have an update map oft the City'sutilities including all meters, flush Gus Kangos made the motion to approve the Consent.
