Interim Planning and Development Director Hicks introduced the item and presented the staffr report. She explained that the City staff recommends approval ofthis item, which is amodification oft the Refund Section 9.02.14 ofthe City Code to delete subsection (e). Motion by Vice Chair Keller, seconded by Commission Jenkins, to approve, as presented, the Consent Agenda items. Vote on the motion: Motion carried unanimously by a vote of5-0. Ayes:  Vyner, Barreras, Cormack, Jenkins, Keller. Nays: 0.  4) PUBLIC COMMENTS  Public Comments are welcome. You may. submit Public Comments in person, or you may submit to the City Secretary at mponcboeronlicgor before 3:00. PM the day of the meeting. Nays: 0.  6) REGULAR AGENDA  a) Discussion regarding potential amendments to Chapter 5 of the City ofLiberty Hill Code ofOrdinances and Sections 4.09 and 8.01 oft the City ofLiberty Hill Unified Development Code (UDC) to address vape and smoke shop land use categories and  regulations. (Chair Cormack/M. Hicks)  Interim Planning and Development Director Hicks introduced this item and provided the staff report. She explained that at aj previous meeting, the Commissioners had requested to see examples of 'Vape Shop' Ordinances from other cities. She noted that New Boston, Texas has a very good ordinance that may be the best fit for the City ofLiberty Hill ifCouncil desires to use There was an extended discussion of the concerns of the Commission including such things as: Distance regulations from schools and other locations where children are present. Advertising for Vape Shops including advertising that targets minors and advertising Special regulations on Vape Shops/Hooka Lounges/CDB shops in Historical Preservation  another city's ordinance as a template.  Licensing regulations for Vape Shops. with false medical claims. Regulations on flavored tobacco?  districts.
