Fiscal Year 2024-2 2025 Budget - Mayor Skloss opened public hearing at 5:01pm. Noj public, no comments, Mayor Skloss closed the 6. Discuss and take possible action on Ordinance 2024-002 amending Chapter 10.08 of the City Code to establish a fee to defray costs for collecting delinquent utility accounts receivable - John Banks informed the Council on the new. legislative law allowing the city to add an additional fee to the delinquent utility accounts. After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilmember Loya and seconded by Coucilember Lyssy to approve Ordinance 2024-002 amending Chapter 10.08 of the City Code to establish a fee to defray costs for collecting. The vote was 5-0: in favor and the motion was declared unanimously 7. Discuss and consider Mandatory Public Notice pursuant to Section 2254 of the' Texas Government Code for the proposed 30% contingent fee agreement with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, L.L.P.f for collection services on delinquent utility accounts - John Bank informed the Council of the mandatory public notice, the city has posted as required by the code. After further discussion, ai motion was made by Councilmember Dziuk and seconded by Councilmember Rosales to award the 30% contingency contract for legal services to Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, L.L.P.for collection services on delinquent utility accounts. Discuss and consider the status report regarding delinquent property tax collections from John Banks with Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP-John Banks along with Adam Dockery gave the council a full update on delinquent property taxes along with update on collections. No action was taken. 10. Workshop: Review and Discussion of staff presentation on city's Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget and proposed allocation of funds, capital projects, employee wages, and other related budgetary matters = Haylee presented the 11. Discuss and take possible action on the Fiscal Year 2024. - 2025 Budget - Haylee presented Council with budget numbers. After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilmember Hernandez and seconded by Councilmember. Lyssy to postpone the adoption oft the Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Budget until the regular Council meeting on September 24, 20214 at 6pm.
