MINUTES Special Meeting Planning and Zoning Commission September 9, 2024 -5:30 P.M. STATE OF TEXAS CITY OF ARANSAS PASS $ COUNTIES OF ARANSAS, SAN PATRICIO, AND NUECES S On this the 9th day of September 2024, the Planning and Zoning Commission convened ina a Special Meeting at Aransas Pass City Hall 600 W. Cleveland Blvd., Aransas Pass, Texas and notice of said meeting giving the time, place, date, and subject thereof having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code with the following attendance to wit and constituting a quorum: PRESENT: Commissioners: Sandy Kubek, Rene Thakor, Myron Schroeder, Elizabeth Dorris, Green Hill IV, Wanese Butler, and Debby Hughes STAFF PRESENT: Manager. The motion passed unanimously. 3. CASES DISCUSSED Replat Zoning Board of Adjustment Page 1 Case No. PZ-2024-7: Replat of 2020 N Business HW 35, being described as a replat of Lot 1, Block 1, E. Talley Survey, A-201, Aransas Pass, E.T.J., Motion by Lizz to pass as written and Wanese seconded. Motion passed Aransas County, TX unanimously. Text Amendments: Case No. PZ-2024-20: A request to amend absences from three (3) consecutive meetings in a term to three (3) absences within the fiscal year before termination for the Planning and Zoning Commission; in Chapter 2. Administration, Article II Boards, Commissions, Committees, ETC, Division I, Planning and Zoning Commission, Sec2-6 Removal of Members; Filling Vacancies; for Zoning Board of Adjustment in Zoning Ordinance Section 16 Board of Adjustment, 16 -110 Organization; and for Environmentally Sensitive Areas Board in Chapter 31 Zoning, Article II Environmentally Motion by' Wanese to move to amend language reference to absences from 3 consecutive absences in a term to 3 consecutive absences in a fiscal year without council approval upon written request for excuse before suspension. Motion passed Case No. PZ-2024-21: a request to amend new city maps for Zoning, Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA) and Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Aransas pass.
