CALL TO ORDER Mayor Chavez called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. in the Mayor Pro Tem Yu participated remotely as allowed per Assembly Bill (AB) 2449 invoking the Emergency Circumstance" due to illness. Action: Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Park Associates Inc. DBA Park Planet for direct purchase of benches and trash receptacles for the Las Tunas Drive Streetscape Project through CMAS (State of California Multiple Award Schedules Program) in the amount of $174,358.68. F. PURCHASE OF PLANTER POTS FOR THE LAS TUNAS DRIVE STREETSCAPE The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract for the purchase of planter pots for the Las Tunas Drive Streetscape Project. PROJECT Action: Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Tournesol Siteworks for direct purchase of 113 planter pots, in the amount of $270,208.64 for the Las Tunas Drive Streetscape Project. G. AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE BLADE SIGNS FOR THE LAS TUNAS DRIVE STREETSCAPE PROJECT'S STOREFRONT IMPROVEMENT GRANT The City Council is requested to authorize the purchase of blade signs for the Las Tunas Drive Streetscape Project Storefront Improvement Grant. City Council Minutes September 17, 2024 Page 4 of7 Action: Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with ASI Sign Systems, Inc. for the direct purchase, design, and installation of up to 50 blade signs in an amount not to exceed $325,000 through the State of California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) Program as part of the Las Tunas Drive Streetscape Project's Storefront Improvement Grant, and to utilize the same CMAS pricing to furnish and install blade signs for businesses applying through the program.
