UPDATE (2024). Resolution No. 2018-03. GRANT AWARD. 7. RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council reject the single bid for CITY HALL COMPLEX ROOFING PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2023-05 from Bell Roof Company in the amount of $163,827 and direct staff to release the 10% bidders' bond. CALIMESA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE REPORTS Tony Phillips, Chamber Board Vice President provided the Chamber report as follows: February Breakfast meeting was a success. March meeting will be held on March 12th at Kafé Royale. The Annual Installation and Awards Dinner was held on January 25, 2024 at Plantation on the Lakes with over 100 in attendance. He announced that scholarship applications were being accepted at the Chamber office. Scholarship tea has been scheduled for May 23, 2024. The Chamber has established a Foundation and are ini the process of receiving their 501C3 status. He announced 3 new chamber members, 3 10. RIVERSIDE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION PRESENTATION = renewals and a total of 130 chamber members. TRAFFIC RELIEF PLAN. Traffic Relief Plan. RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council receive the presentation and provide feedback to Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) staff on the draft City Manager Kolbow presented the agenda report and introduced Anne Mayer of the Riverside County Transportation Commission who provided a Power Point presentation of the Traffic Relief Plan stating that the Traffic Relief Plan is a local strategy to reduce traffic bottlenecks, improve safety, and help create a stronger, more sustainable economy for our communities. She addressed highlights of the plan that include: Improving freeway traffic flow. Improving traffic flow and safety on major roads. Improving the conditions of existing roads. Adding sidewalks and safety improvements for pedestrians, equestrians, and bicyclists. Increasing frequency of and access to bus and rail public transportation. Bringing daily rails service to the Coachella Valley and San Gorgoniol Pass from Los Angels, Orange County and Riverside. Connecting Riverside County. Providing more independence and opportunity. She further reported that she participated in the President's Day Parade in Indio, and she announced the League's Legislative Action Days April 17th-19th in Sacramento, stating her desire to attend. She further announced the SCAG General Conference that would be held on May 2nd and 3rd. She further announced the Riverside Division League meeting on March 14, 2024 MEETINGS/CONFERENCES tot the agenda being posted as required by Government Code S 54954.2(b). of the Traffic Relief Plan. with the location still to be determined. CITY MANAGER COMMENTS & REPORTS City Manager Kolbow announced the Spay/Neuter Clinic that would be held on March 2, 2024 at City Hall, adding that they are completely booked. He further addressed the question of public speaker Blake Ferris, stating that the developer is obligated to complete the infrastructure and the City continues to work with the developer as the improvements are vital to the City.
