It appears the majority, if not all, of the brick and non-organic waste will be used as on-site fill with the steel scrapped and the remaining debris taken tot the landfill. The demolition has proven the existing structure was not nearly as stable as once the front portion of the building collapsed and the S.E. Rodich Excavating, Inc. has indicated construction for the Second Avenue Parking Lot Project will begin in early June. The contractor will work with the Road Crew and Engineer to establish a safety zone along Spruce Street and Second Avenue for construction activities. Portions of the road may be reduced to one. lane or a temporary detour puti inj place with the road closed during the day. Local roadways are anticipated to be open in the evening and overnight St. Marys Paving Company, Inc. has submitted the PA One-Call for the Harrison Ave Storm Sewer Replacement Project and will be transitioning tot that project after the' Theater demolition isc completed. Mobilization: and construction are anticipated to begin within the next week ort two We recently met with Redmond Construction to review the project scope for the Johnsonburg Community Center Phase 1 Exterior Restoration Project. Based on the discussioni iti is anticipated the entire playground side (Southern side adjacent to the side porch) will be completed and if funding remains the Contractor will continue to either thei front or back side with ai final decision to be made at that time. Itisa anticipated the majority of the existing grout will remain once the proposed areas are pressure washed, and any that is dislodged will be repaired. The stone drip edges and decorative areas appear to need significant repointing and will be repaired as well. Existing fractured stone areas will be sealed to minimize future deterioration. The Contractor anticipates beginning work immediately after the. Johnsonburg Alumni and Friends weekend as a number of activities are scheduled to take place at the Community Center. Funding for this project has been made available through a grant from the A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo We are currently working with the County and Road Crew to get required pipe and catch basin materials ordered for the Center Street Storm Sewer Replacement Project. The County is currently working to finalize the modified grant classification.
