Motion carried unanimously. Guests & Public Comment: None present. Monthly Reports Mayor: Mayor Paget made a statement to the public related to a recent death investigation involving the. Johnsonburg Police Department. He stated that the images being shared publicly and on social media were shameful behavior by the general public who participated. Police: Monthly report is on file. Chief Clopp reviewed his report and informed Council that the department completed annual control tactics training, an Act 13 grant was received for new body armor, and testing was recently completed for the open full-time position. Fire Chief: Monthly report is on file. 223 Superintendent: Monthly report is on file. Superintendent Imbrogno reported that the annual spring street sweeping is almost complete. Council Committees: None. Finance & Bills for Payment: President Maletto read the borough's account balances and the bills. This month's bills include General Fund-$ $$4,132.15, Community Center Fund- - $7,285.01, Community Improvement Fund- $3,811.00, and Street Light Fund $500.00.. .A motion was made by Councilman DePanfilis and seconded by Councilman Cherry to pay the bills as presented and to accept thei finance report. Motion carried unanimously. Solicitor: Solicitor Thomas was excused. Engineer & Code Enforcement Report: Monthly report is on file. Engineer Ryan Miller informed Council that the theater building (528 Market St) demolition with Bucktail Excavators is still on schedule. The W. Center St. storm water project is on PennDOT's scheduled for after. July 1st. Al brief discussion was held on the Harrison Ave. storm water Municipal Authority: Minutes are on file. Council held a brief discussion on pipe left over from an authority project that has been piled at the intersection of Market St. and SR: 219: for Recreation Board: Minutes and reports are on file. After al brief discussion, it was decided to remove the damaged dumpster door at the community center and leave the dumpster open. Ad discussion was held on bottle deposits. Three bids were received to the Elk County Planning Department for our CDBG Second Ave. Parking Lot Project. They were as follows: 1. RJ Vollmer Excavating 2. St Marys Paving Inc. 3. S.E. Rodich Excavating $31,100.00 $24,950.00 $20,825.00 Due tot the bids coming in over the grant funding amount of $17,592, they were turned over tot thel borough council to decide on acceptance. A motion was made by Councilman DeAngelo and seconded by Councilman DePanfilis to accept the low bid and to pay the difference (approximately $3,200.00) between the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the cost oft the project.
