These projects include the demolition of the commercial building at 512 Market St. and new: sidewalks int the Market St. and Bridge St. corridor. Abrief discussion was held on PHARE funding. Code Enforcement: Code Enforcement Officer Chris Lindmar was excused. His monthly report isc on file. Recreation Board: Nothing submitted asthey had not met yet this month. Engineer Ryan Miller explained the project and how it moved forward with the bidding process. A motion was made by Councilman DePanfilis and seconded by Councilman Poague tos stop the current work and put a call out for new phone bids for one side of the building including repairs, glazing, and painting of the windows. Swept streets after storm. 1 ARS ENGINEERING SERVICES Engineer's Report- OauhrisAahnlrg Borough Council Meeting The following is a summary of work performed over the last month, including updates on current project status, provided herein for your review: Engineering Services The West Center Street Storm Sewer Replacement Project has progressed significantly. PennDOT completed the installation of the new storm sewer in late September including the installation of new inlets at both the Mary Street and Julia Street intersections. Bucktail Excavators andt their sub-contractor Pro-Dig Enterprises have completed the new curb placement including backfill and seeding the areas behind the curb. PennDOT anticipates starting the remaining paving portion of the project on October 15th. Funding for this project has been made Note: The Plamning Department requested an extension for this project funding which was set to expire at the end of the year. Because there is still ai balance and we have a project identified tos spend that balance DCED. has been approved the extension. Wer will work to get the plans and specs together. for the additional sidewalk replacement we discussed at the September meeting St. Marys Paving Company, Inc. willl be starting thel Harrison Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement Project the week of October 14th now that National Fuel has completed the installation of their new gas line. St. Marys Paving will complete the patch paving once the new storm sewer has beeni installed; limits willl be coordinated witht the Road Supervisor. National Fuel will reimburse the Borough for as small portion of paving associated with a road crossing that was part oftheir new linei installation. The remaining areas include the 3rd Floor Ballroom (heating & A/C) and the Kitchen, Restroom, Coat Room and Parlor (heating & A/C). Ifsuccessful, when these areas are completed the entire building can be controlled independently and the existing boiler can be We continue to work with TranSystems engineers assisting their efforts to complete the final Flood Study Report. The report is mostly complete; however, they will be organizing it sO that the overall project can easily be brokeni into smaller phases if funding is only availablei in smaller amounts. Funding for this project has been provided by al DCEDI Flood Mitigation Grant. Work continues on the Hemlock Street Stormwater Project design, plans and project specifications; however, this has been delayed with all of the ongoing construction issues and procurement of additional grant funding. This is the grant money that will help us pay for Thursday September 12th the Penn State Extension held a Suicide Prevention Training that was opento the public. Tracy Crowe attended and helped us out with this training. She said it went very well and there were Friday September 13th at 1:47am Tara Poague received a phone call from Guardian Protection saying that our fire system lost signal. There is nothing we can do about it; theyj just call toi inform us that if there were a fire while the signal is out that they would not be notified. Tara asked them to remove her cell phone from the list Saturday at 10:05pm Tara Poague received a phone call from Guardian Protection saying that there was trouble shooting in the zone 12 alarm in the fitness center.
