Sunday August 20th Nathan O'Dell came down and cleaned the pool drains and fixed them so that they werel backi in place. Either the vacuum or someone had slid them out of place that week. Monday August 21st Tara Poague went to test the chlorine levels in the pool and the reader was not working. She called white oak and they talked her through everything they could think to try and it did not work, SO she drove it over toi them. After looking at it, they determined it was full of condensation and it seemed as though it was submerged in water. Tara checked the pool logs and checked withi the weekend lifeguard and everything was working properly on Saturday. Chris Bressler was in on Sunday to put water in the pool, but said she didn't even use the machinet to test the chlorine. Iti is unsure what happened to it, but iti is unfixable. White Oak tried to dryi it out, but it nearly caught fire. Itis Tuesday August 22nd Tara Poague received an email from Bill Kinkead with a quote on the sewer for the park bathrooms. Tuesday August 22"d the Borough Council Public Works Committee met here to discuss at few things and one of them Instead of opening upt the bathrooms at the shed, it would be more feasible to put al bathroom back in the entrance to the fitness room. It only has to be a small area, and we can add a separate door to the top oft the ramp entering the fitness room. The door that already exists can be put on a timer to be open from 9am-9pm daily. This year the criteria has changedand the student must make a minimum of $12/hour to be enrolled in the program, so Tara emailed the co-op grant program to see if we could possibly keep him at $10. Now they are saying that the minimum wage isn'tt the issue, but they don't consider al lifeguard a valid internship into the healthcare field. Tara Poague has been working with a small group ofi influential individuals from Elk County for the past yearand half on getting this program started. The goali is to inform and teach kids about the importance oft taking on leadership and volunteer roles in our community. As well as getting their opinions on what changes they would like to see. It will be ai four month program where the kids will meet one day a month during the school day and get the opportunity to talk to the current leaders of our community. This tryi it day was very successful and we hope that this Friday September 22nd was our first soup sale. We made $668. It went well. We had al lot of soup donated and we were left with 12 quarts. We didn't have a whole lot of baked goods donated, but we should have more for this month. Next Monday September 25th the Ramettes varsity volleyball team and boy Seniors held a volleyball game here for their Tuesday September 26th Tara Poague and.
