MINUTES  WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION MEETING TUESDAY, AUGUST: 20,2024-5:001 PM WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS  CALLTOORDER:  The Waycross City Commission Meeting was called to order on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 5:00 pm by Mayor James. The meeting was held in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. Present were  Commissioners Diane Hopkins, Katrena Felder and Sheinita Bennett.  A. Invocation:  Commissioner Diane Hopkins  Invocation led by Chief Eddins, WFD City Clerk to Read Section 2-66 (a)-I Decorum Read by Jacqualine Powell, City Clerk D. Request Motion to. Approve Agenda  B. Pledge of Allegiance  There was al motion made by Commissioner Bennett to approve. Seconded by Commissioner  Hopkins. All voted in favor and the motion passed.  II. PUBLIC REMARKS ON OFFICIAL ACTIONS  III. EXECUTIVE DUTIES: A. FY-2025 Budget  There was a consensus taken for the FY-2025 Budget to be presented on September 17h. -3pm, October 1t-3pm and October 15th--5 5pm, District 2- yes, District 3-yes and District 4-yes.  IV. OFFICIAL REPORTS: A. City Manager's Report  The city report Is not posted yet. He stated he will be on Vacation from Wednesday through  Friday.  Page 1 of3    B. Mayor's Report (To Include Any Public Service Announcements).  The mayor announced the South Carolina Marching Band will be in Waycross to play at the  half-time show during the JV-Game on. A Resolution of the City of Waycross, Georgia For The Adoption of Policies and Procedures and Program design for Community Home Investment Program (CHIP) Grant Number 2024-119, To Authorize the Mayor to Sign all Related Resolutions and Program Documents In Connection with Said Grant Award; and for Other Purposes.
