MINUTES WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION MEETING TUESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2024-5:001 PM WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CALLTOORDER: The Waycross City Commission Meeting was called to order on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 5:00 pm by Mayor James. The meeting was held in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. Present were Commissioners, Katrena Felder, Sheinita Bennett, and Diane Hopkins. A. Invocation: Commissioner Diane Hopkins Invocation was led by Marc Hawkins, Community Improvement Director B. Pledge of Allegiance C. City Clerk to Read Section 2-66 (a) - Decorum Read by Jacqualine Powell, City Clerk D. Request Motion to Approve Agenda There was a motion made by Commissioner Felder seconded by Commissioner Hopkins to amend the agenda by adding the Watershed to it. The Interim City Attorney, Huey Spearman stated to the commission that, unless it was on the previous Mondays Work Session for discussion it will have to be added on the next planning and information session. There was a motion made to except the agenda by Commissioner Bennett seconded by Commissioner Felder. All voted in favor and the motion passed. II. PUBLIC REMARKS ON OFFICIAL ACTIONS III. Resolutions: A Resolution to Approve the City of Waycross Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2024, Commissioner Bennett made the motion to approve, seconded by Commissioner Felder.
