Lumpkin County, Georgia Parks and Recreation Department Citizens Advisory Board Meeting Minutes  September 11, 2024  1. Call to Order  a. Citizens Advisory Board Chair, Hank Haynes, called the meeting to order b. Autumn Chatham, Jessica Tardonia, Shawn Boyd, Hank Haynes, Jason C. Tim Towe, Ahmad Kamra, Haley Sparks, and Rebecca Mincey were also  at 6:02pm on September 11,2024 Davis were present. ina attendance as county staff.  2. Invocation  a. Jason Davis gave an invocation to begin the meeting.  3. Recognize Citizens or Guests a. No guests present. 4. Approval of Minutes  a. Amotion was made to approve the previous minutes by Jason Davis and  seconded by Shawn Boyd. i. Passed unanimously  5. Old/Ongoing Business a. Turf Grant Update  Tim reported the scope change was approved. Ashley peck will get a detailed schedule for renovations to Tim for the next board i. Tim reported that renovations will be completed by Spring 2025. i. The board will work on creating a new income scale for the Youth  meeting, October gth.  b. Field Renovation Update - Scholarships  Scholarship Program.  6. New Business a. Soccer b. Fall Baseball  i. Tim proposed a soccer program in house after UFA contract . The game schedule will be completed by September 13th. Tim reported that the uniform order has already been placed.  expires.    C. Fobal/Chereadinpdis Flag Football  i. Tim reported that the football season has went very well overall, and the split of the two age groups has been successful. ii. Parks and Rec will host football games on Saturday, September  14th at Lumpkin County High School.  7. Comments/Other  a. Background Check Policy  The board agreed to draft a policy for background checks in  October's meeting.  8. Adjournment  a.
