Also present: Katie Sanders and Erika The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pullen at 9:02 a.m. in the conference room of the Lumpkin County Administration Building, 99 Courthouse Hill, Minutes of the August 13, 2024 meeting: Motion to approve was made by Ms. Vargas from the Assessor's office. Currently one appeal has requested continuing to Superior Court. Georgia Code requires a settlement hearing prior to submitting the paperwork to the Clerk of Court. This will be scheduled in the next few weeks. The remaining 17 active appeals have been scheduled for September 27th in front ofthe Board of] Equalization. Ms. Sanders informed the Board that the 2023 Equalized Ratio had been received from the Department of Audits. Lumpkin County's ratio is 38.08. She provided the members a table showing the counties in Northeast Georgia and the ratios for comparison. The Board commended Mr. Ziemer and the staff for their hard work getting the ratio into the allowable range.
