Approval ofl Monthly Board Meeting Agenda: - Member Hand made a motion to Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes August 5, 2024: Member Wallace made an motion to approve the minutes oft the August 5, 2024, meeting; Second by Member approve the agenda; Second by Member Little. Director's Report Director Dover introduced staff member Donna Kosicki who gave a presentation ofa Voter Education Program that will be conducted by the BOER staff beginning in 2025. This program will describe the various resources that voters have available concerning the election schedules, the types ofvoting available, and the overall election processes. This program will be offered to the public and will be conducted at the BOER office on multiple dates. Staff member Kosicki went through the proposed program materials using the upcoming election dates as examples ofthe information that would be provided during future program presentations. Staff member Kosicki responded to questions and comments from the Board and from the public in attendance. Old Business: None New Business: 1. Board Position Vacancy - Board Chair there were ongoing reviews ofthose applicants. Acting Chair Glade explained that the previous Chair Steve Divine had resigned and that the Board had received applications from 5 people and that Acting Chair Glade pointed out that Member Hand had only conducted a phone interview with one applicant and that it seemed appropriate that Member Hand advised that he had not understood that that was necessary Acting Chair Glade stated that the review and consideration of Member Hand conduct an in-person interview. but agreed to do SO. would be on going. 2. Sunday Voting applicants Asaf follow-up to requests from Public Commentors last month, Acting Chair Glade moved to add Sunday, October 20, 2024, as a voting day for the upcoming general election. The motion was seconded by Member Little. After discussion by all members, Acting Chair Glade amended her motion "Tol have only the election office opened for voting on Sunday, October: from 1:00 pm until 5:00." The revised motion was seconded by Member 20, Little. Motion carries 4-0. There is no Request frame within which the staff must process these submissions. She explained that the FireFly information program is managed by the SOS, is used statewide among election officials to share information related to elections and that iti is subject to ORR's from the public.
