Washington County Board of Commissioners  Called Meeting October 4, 2024 10:00am  Commissioners Present: Horace Daniel, Doug Watkins, Bobby Jackson, James HitchcockJr.,  Frank Simmons Jr. Prayer & Pledge Call Meeting to Order New Business  Chairman Daniel called the meeting to order.  Leasei for Debris Management Control Site with Thomas Casey Poole  Commissioner Simmons made a motion to approve the lease agreement with Thomas Casey Poole to use his property as as staging area where contractors will bring debris tol bel burned. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. The motion IGAand Lease with Development. Authority for Debris Management Control Site. Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve the lease and IGA with Development. Authority to use land at the Industrial Park as a staging areai for contractors to bring debris. Commissioner Simmons seconded the motion. The Commissioner Simmons made ar motion to ratify the SDR Contract, which is the company picking upi the debris from the right of way. Chairman Daniel seconded the Commissioner Watkins made a motioni to ratify the Thompson Consulting Contract. Commissioner Simmons seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Simmons made a motion to ratify the IGA withi the Cities. This IGA is tos split costs that would not be covered by FEMA. Attorney Howard stated that FEMA has announced they would pay 100% backi for up to 90 days. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
