Stewart County Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting Minutes September 10,2024-4:30PM  The Stewart County Board of Commissioners held a Regular Meeting on September 10, 2024. The meeting convened at 4:30 PM at the Stewart County Courthouse with Vice  Chair Arcola Scott presiding. Pledge of Allegiance - in unison Commissioners in attendance: Vice-Chair Arcola Scott Commissioner Joe Lee Williams Commissioner Tyrone Nelson Commissioner Thomas Mayo Other Staff in Attendance: Mac Moye, County Manager Mary Rushin, Assistant County Clerk: Bin Minter, County Attorney  Roll Call  Vice Chair Arcola Scott moved to amend the agenda to add David MacGregor of ATMAX Equipment Co to Public Appearance; seconded by Commissioner Tyrone Reading and Approval of Minutes - Commissioner Joe Lee Williams moved to approve the July 27, 2024 meeting of the round table discussion with the Stewart County Water Authority Board and the August 13, 2024, regular session minutes; seconded by Commissioner Thomas Mayo. Vice Chair Arcola Scott stated that the minutes reflect that Commissioner Tyrone Nelson did not vote on the Election Board  Nelson. All voted in favor and motion carried.  members. All voted in favor and motion carried.  Public Appearance:  A. Doug Redding, GAI Forestry Commission- Presented the Georgia Forestry Commission. Annual Report FY 2023-2024 of Stewart County. B. David MacGregor, ATMAX Equipment Co - Provided a quote overview of the  Mower Max Boom Mower.  Administrative Matters:  A. Opening of EMS Building Bids - Commissioner Thomas Mayo moved to accept the Fortified Building Services, LLC bid for the amount of $197,200; seconded by Commissioner Tyrone Nelson. All voted in favor and motion carried.    Reports:  A. Financial Report - Commissioner Joe Lee Williams moved to accept the August 2024 financial reports; seconded by Commissioner Tyrone Nelson. All voted in B. Road Superintendent - Verbal report not provided due to death of Road C. Public Safety Director -Public Safety. Administrator Greg Stewart presented the August 2024 EMS report. He reported that Stewart County passed the inspection without any issues. The new: ambulances have been ordered with an estimated 18-month delivery date. Equipment has been purchased with the funds from the D. County Attorney - County Attorney Bin Minter provided a report on legal topics pertinent to the county for the commission to review. Reported that the Open Records request for the Stewart County Water Authority will be submitted by E. County Manager = County Manager Mac Moye provided his report on topics pertinent to the county for August 13, 2024 - September 10, 2024.  favor and motion carried. Superintendent Gene Haynes.
