Aurora, Nebraska September 23, 2024  A meeting of thel Mayor and Council of the City of Aurora, Nebraska, was convened in open and public session at 6:15p.m., September 23, 2024 at the Fire Hall. Present were Councilors: Paul Lackore, Wayne Roblee, Daniel Bartling, Mark Dunn, Dick Phillips and Nancy Lohrmeyer. Mayor Marlin Seeman conducted the meeting. City Officials present were City Administrator Eric Melcher, Chief fof Police Paul Graham and Clerk/Treasurer Barbra Mikkelsen. Notice of said meeting was given by publication in the Aurora News Register on September 18, 2024. Notice of meeting was simultaneously given to thel Mayor and all members of the Council and a copy oft their acknowledgment of receipt of notice and the agenda is attached to these minutes. Availability ofthe agenda of this meeting was communicated ini the advance notice andi in the notice to the Mayor and Council. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the Mayor Seeman stated "AS PERSCRIBED BY LAW A COPY OF THE NEBRASKA OPEN MEETINGS ACTI IS POSTED BY THE DOUBLE DOORS  convened meeting was open to the attendance oft the public.  IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS." 6:15P.M. PUBLIC HEARING:  Mayor Seeman opened the duly advertised public hearing at 6:15 p.m. to receive public comments on the proposed budget for FY 2024-2025. The Mayor asked if there was anyone present who wished to speak about the proposed budget for FY: 2024-2025. The Mayor presented an overview of the proposed budget for FY 2024-2025. Multiple people spoke regarding the proposed budget. An extended question and answer period was held..
