Managers & Commissioners Updates  The Commissioners and Staff discussed topics including but not limited to:  Andy Atencio  Provided an update oni the upcoming PAYT (Pay as Your Throw) regulation presentation. Interviews will be conducted for the Human Resources Director this week.  David Reynolds Caitlin Johnson No Updates Sarah Wilkinson No Updates Steve Greer  Provided updates on the budget meetings with all Summit County Government departments that will start next week. The Road and Bridge budget meeting will be first next week.  Provided an update on the East Vail Pass wildlife crossing project. Iti is scheduled to get approved this week. Provided an overview of his conversation with Chris Lubbers and Katherine King regarding  bus stop and trailhead issues.  Provided updates on the Xcel Energy Wildfire Mitigation Plan.  Stephanie Ralph community center. their funding. Cameron Turpin No Updates David Rossi No Updates Commissioner Mamula: Commissioner Waters  Provided updates on the data collection for the community participant parameters at the There has been collaboration on updating the Strong Futures website to accurately reflect  The initial process for finding a Library Director replacement has begun.  Provided updates ont the recent visit from Representative Neguse to discuss housing projects  and childcare construction projects.  Provided updates on the regional opioid abatement fund. She asked for commissioner feedback regarding the funds. She informed that there has been a request from Mind Springs as they, just opened their detox facility in Grand Junction and are struggling to close the gap ino completing the building. They are requesting funding from the Opioid Counsel. Provided updates on a successful meeting with the Buffalo Mountain Metro District. Discussed the problem of three Summit Stage bus stops with failing concrete that needs to  Commissioner Pogue be repaired.  Provided an overview ont the cost for the Detox program. Sheriff FitzSimons discussed topics including but not limited to:  II. Fire Restriction Updates  Sherriff FitzSimons update began with a reminder on the factors that the team investigates on whether to recommend Fire Restrictions. Due to these factors, both from last week and this upcoming weekend, restrictions are not recommended at this time but reminded everyone ont the importance of fire safety when it comes to campfires. The Sheriff did note, however, that if rain andi moisture doesn't come this weekend, that might putl levels close enought to goi into restrictions. The Board and Sheriff also briefly discussed the "Red-Flag Warning" for wildfire danger that was sent out earlier this morning and how wildfire danger is different than fire restrictions. The Board did express their willingness to go into Fire Restrictions sooner rather than later as a  precautionary measure.  III. USFS Financial Discussion Recommended Executive Session) Summit County Board of County Commissioners Work Session Meeting Minutes of July 30, 2024  Page 2of3    Cameron Turpin requested al brief Executive Session to discuss legal issues andi real property matters subject to negotiation and receive legal advice and guidance pursuant to CRS 24-6-402 Subsection Ar motion was made by Commissioner Mamula and seconded by Commissioner Pogue to go into Executive Session to discuss legali issues and real property matters subject to negotiation and receive legal advice and guidance on the topic(s) oft the USFS Compound and Lake Hill. The BOCC voted 3 toOto go into Executive Session per CRS 24-6-402 Subsection (4) (a)(b)(e). The motion was  (4) (a)(b)(e) on the topic(s) of the USFS Compound and Lake Hill.  approved. IV.
