August 14, 2024, regular meeting of the UDCAC. Some of the concerns mentioned was specifically to neighborhoods and residential uses. Brown shared that it was recommended to prohibit uses that were not allowed in CN, Neighborhood Commercial, but will be allowed in C1, Local Commercial, from being adjacent to residential Planning Director properties. Committee Member Baran asked if it was possible to keep either the CN or OF, office, zoning district next to residential zoning districts. Nelson shared that it was within the Committee Member Baran believed that having both CN and OF zoning districts was unnecessary but shared that it may be regrettable to remove both altogether. Chair Perthuis suggested to combine both zoning districts into one zoning category. Committee Member Baran agreed with the suggestion from Chair Perthuis. Gregoire poised the question of whether a smaller office/warehouse storage with climate control would comply with the square footage and noted that smaller climate control warehouses could still be an employment center.
