The Office of the County Judge 516 Fourth Street, Room 108, Graham, Texas 76450  DECLARATION OF LOCAL DISASTER  WHEREAS, there exists in Young County, Texas, an imminent threat of severe damage, injury or loss of life or property resulting from: THE THREAT OF WILDFIRES DUE TO DROUGHT AND EXTREMELY DRY CONDITIONS; and  WHEREAS, THE COUNTY JUDGE of Young County has determined that extraordinary measures must be taken to mitigate such threat to the  people and to protect property;  ITIS HEREBY ORDERED by the County Judge of Young County that a local state of disaster is hereby declared for all of Young County pursuant to $418.108 of the Texas Government Code and all outdoor burning in Young County is prohibited for a period of not more than seven days from the date of this order. Following $352.081 of the Texas Local Government Code, a violation of this Order is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.  ORDERED this 10th day of October 2024.
