City of Mexico Beach Special Meeting Minutes TUESDAY. JULY23,2024-4,0PM  The City of Mexico Beach City Council met in a special meeting on Tuesday. July 23, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Public Works Building in Mexico Beach. Mayor Wolff and the following Councilmembers were present: Linda Hamilton, Jerry Smith, Tim Linderman and Jason. Adams. Also present were City Administrator, Chris Hubbard, City Clerk, Tammy Brunson and City Attorney Tim Sloan.  . II.  Callt to order: Mayor Wolff called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.  Regular Agenda:  1. Mayor Wolff explained the reason for the special meeting was a personnel issue with City Administrator Chris Hubbard making an offensive post to his Facebook account. was brought to the table. During public comment Karen Lankford, Michele Miller, Cindy Arnold, Alex Hogan, Bill Hamiton, Michele Miller, Margorie Peck, Brad Gartner, Michele Miller and Wanda Donald all made statements supporting thet termination of Mr. Hubbard due to the offensive post. Bruce VanArsdale asked what was said and was there anything negative in his personnel file. Chris Phillips stated Mr. Hubbard was moving the city forward. Mr. Hubbard then read a statement in his defense. After extensive discussion at the table whether to reprimand or terminate Mr. Hubbard, Mrs. Hamilton motioned, and Mr. Linderman seconded to terminate Mr. Hubbard immediately. Motion passed with a 4to 1 vote. No vote was Mr. Smith. After the vote was taken Mr. Sloan read at termination letter and asked Mr. Hubbard to gather his belonging and leave. Mr. Linderman  followed him to City Hall to collect his keys and phone.  IX.
