Contra Costa County Public Works Department  Warren Lai, Director Deputy Directors Stephen Kowalewski, Chief Allison Knapp Sarah Price Carrie Ricci Joe Yee  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  Contra Costa County Public Works to Begin Construction on Bixler Road. and October 2, 2024, Discovery Bay, CA - Contra Costa County Public Works will begin construction of the Bixler Road and Regatta Drive Intersection improvement Project. Construction will begin on Thursday, October 10, 2024, and last until late November 2024, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will take place between 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, weather permitting. Drivers should expect delays of approximately 5 minutes during construction. The work includes installing a concrete pedestrian path, curb ramps, a rectangular rapid flashing beacon system, striping and pavement markings at the Bixler Road and Regatta Drive intersection in the Discovery Funding for this project is provided by Gas Tax (SB1) funds and Transportation Development Act funds.
