September 23, 2024  Town of Windsor Board Members:  Sorry I didn't send in an assessor report In last month, August was pretty slow and then Igot bombarded In September. The first week in Septemberirecelved a lot of phone calls from taxpayers and the taxpayers were coming into see me as well, wondering where their STAR check was. Unfortunately, NYS sends out the STAR checks so Itoid al lot to wait a week and if they don'treçeive anything call me back and IV will get them the NYS phone number to call. There are still a lot that haven'tr received the STAR check but they have talked to NYS and NYS is working on it, Hopefully they will get it soon, Ihave done 2 apportionment letters soi far; apportionment letters are splitting of the tax bill, When the taxpayer splits up the parcel after March 1stand the taxpayer notifies me that this happens, Iwill do al letter of apportionment for the parties involved. lhad the NYS Assessor's. Association Fall Conference from September 24th through September 26th. Idid the conferençe online this year. Inormally do two trainings a year, ance in.
