City ofMustang Ridge Workshop #731 June 26th, 2024 1. Workshop #731 was called to order by Mayor David Bunn at 6:32 p.m. 2. Council members present were. Moraima Duran, Gabriel Vallejo, Casondra Dailey (came in at 6:41pm), Adrienne M. Deal and Cecilia Padilla-Lopez. 3. Discussion on: a. Animal control- Chief updated council on the committee that was formed with City of Creedmoor, City of Niederwald and City of Mustang Ridge. Currently the department has been trying to find owners of the loose dogs or rehoming them. The Chief suggested adopting a simpler ordinance regarding animal control. Mayor Bunn has suggested the council give him ai few months to simplify the ordinance and once he is ready, he will b. Fireworks- Mayor Bunn explained what is currently on the ordinance and asked council for their input. He took an informal poll to see which members would be interested in having the opportunity to sell in the city. The Chiefrecommended doing what other cities do, which is to not allow. Mayor Bunn took an opinion from council to see whether they would like fireworks to be sold in the city to update the ordinance before the end of the year. (Gabriel Vallejo, Casondra Dailey, Adrienne M. Deal were for, Moraima Duran and Cecilia Padilla-Lopez were against.) - 24/7 police coverage- The Chief explained the department needs for them to go 24/7 and the current workload for the department. Mayor Bunn suggested the city, court and police department come up with a 5-year present it to the council. plan for their needs. 4. Gabriel Vallejo made a motion to adjourn.
