Kim Foutz, Director of Development Services, addressed the Commission. Vice-Chairman Oostermeyer opened the public hearing. Charlotte Cooper, David Herrera, Megan Shoals, Chris Shoals, Christine Maxcy, Robin Finn, Grant Miller, Russell Rodrigues, Regina Thompson, Scott Savely, Patricia Mikla, Allison Harbin, Matt Baker, Bobbie Mazza, Brandon Shuemaker, Brian Shuemaker, and Ardella Anderson addressed the Commission with concerns regarding health and safety risks. Contamination, benzene leaks, crime rates, standards oft the potential project and the overall condition of properties the owner currently owns, traffic concerns, potential decrease in the property value, increase in noise, landscape buffer, potential increase in fire risk, detention pond upkeep, and the state of the current fence structure. Vice-Chairman Oostermeyer closed the public hearing. The Commission discussed the traffic impact analysis, traffic volume concerns, hours of operation, Benzene capture concerns, overall property concerns. Commissioner Mills made a motion to recommend denial of the Conditional Use Permit to City Council. Commissioner Ebeling seconded the motion and the motion passed 5-0. 4.
