CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE PRESENCE OF QUORUM: Chairman Zagst called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and declared a quorum of the Commission is present to conduct the meeting. 2. CITIZEN/VISITOR COMMENTS: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission concerning an issue of community interest that is not on the agenda. Comments on a specific agenda item must be made when the agenda item comes before the Commission. The Chair may place a timel limit on all comments. Discussion and Action regarding approval of the minutes from the May 2, 2024, regular meeting. Commissioner Ebeling made ar motion to approve the May2 2, 2024, meeting minutes. Commissioner Mills B. Public Hearing, Discussion, and Recommendation regarding a rezoning request from Existing Neighborhood Zone 2 (ENZ.2) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) for a 1.80-acre tract of land out oft the W.C.M. Baker Survey No. 202, Abstract No. 123, Burnet County, Texas locally known as 411 12th Street. Commissioner Vercher recused herself fromt the dais. Staff acknowledged the confict-of-interest form had been filed. Scarlet Moreno, Assistant Director of Development Services, addressed the Commission. Seth Harris, representative of the applicant, presented to the Commission. Chairman Zagst opened the Public Hearing. Gregg Bauer addressed the commission for residential zoning confirmation, the improvement of 12th street, and concerns of traffic increase. Patty Cope addressed the Commission for traffic concerns, zoning concerns, and notice concerns. Chairman Zagst closed the public hearing. The Commission discussed traffic concerns, low-density land uses, growth, and potential different land uses. Chairman Zagst re-opened the public hearing. Tony Plumlee addressed the Commission for downtown parking to place itd on the agenda for al later meeting. Chairman Zagst closed the public hearing. Commissioner Mills made a motion to recommend approval of the Zoning Map Amendment request to City Council. Commissioner Ebeling seconded the motion and the motion passed 5-0, Commissioner C. Public Hearing, Discussion, and Recommendation regarding zoning text amendments to the City of Marble Falls Code of Ordinances Appendix B, Development Code Article 11, Administration. Commissioner Vercher returned to the dais. Scarlet Moreno, Assistant Director of Development Services, addressed the Commission. Commissioner Oostermeyer made a motion to recommend approval of the text amendments to City Council. Commissioner Mills seconded the motion and the motion passed 6-0. D. Discussion and Action regarding rescheduling the July regular meeting. Hanna Kadow, Commission Secretary addressed the Commission with the request to move the July Planning & Zoning meeting to Thursday July 11th at 6:00 PM. Commissioner Oostermeyer made ar motion to approve the Thursday July 11th Planning & Zoning Meeting at 6:00 PM.
