Mr. Szura called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. Introductions were made.  Public Comment for Agenda Items There were. no public comments. In favor: Opposed: Abstentions 0  5 0  Mental Health Report  Ms. Hamilton gave the Mental Health Report in Ms. Rettig' s absence.  She reported that Dr. Val Arkoosh, from the PA Department of Human Services (DHS), visited Center for Community Resources in May. Ms. Hamilton provided aj press release regarding Dr. As reported at the May meeting, MHY's adaptation to the Multi Systemic TheraPy/Problematic Sexual Behavior/Risky Behaviors program was approved. MHY staff were trained the last week  Arkoosh's visit.  ofJune and MHY can start to provide this service.  1  MHEIID. Advisory Board Meeting  July 18, 2024    The Suicide Coalition distributed 1,000 rubber ducks to attendees at the. Jeep Invasion. The ducks had the 988 Suicide Crisis Line number printed on them and cards attached that explained Wel held our first Mental Health First Aid training that was specifically for first responders on The Grapevine held their Wellness Walk on. May 17. The walk began at Diamond Park and walked to the Grapevine where they had food and activities. Speaker Jam was held on. June 12 at thel Masonic Temple in Alameda Park. Early Intervention Report  Ms. Wearing reported the Early Intervention numbers for May and June 2024. There were 57 referrals. tracking. There were 60 referrals. Intellectual Disabilities Report  Ms. Wearing reported the. Annual Butler County Picnic was held on June 19 at Succop Nature Park. There were 270 people in attendance. The South Butler Rotary cooked hotdogs and helped serve the food and beverages. There were 15 different vendors that set up carnival activities. Ms. Wearing spoke about Melissa Vettori's program. Our monthly parent groups are held ini the fall through spring with al break during the summer. We started Self Advocacy last year and the participants voted to continue meeting through the summer. Melissa recently completed training and certification for a sib-shop which is for siblings ofindividuals who are in our program. Within the next six months to a year we will be looking at implementing the shop quarterly. The governor's S budget was approved. There is almost $355 million additional dollars in the budget for the Intellectual Disabilities program. Ofthat amount, $280: million is for a 7%1 rate increase for providers to help support their DSP (Direct Support Professionals) wages. Seventy- five million dollars is set aside to help clear the wait list. That money would be: for counties to Ms. Wearing reported we are looking at implementing aj new process for funding state-wide. Right now, our waiver process is one waiver for one person. Quality Butler County AE Quick Summary 2023 Results".  Fiscal Report New Business  Mr. Achezinski reviewed the fiscal report which was through June 30, 2024.  MH/EIID Administrator Report  Mr. Savochka reported the Pennsylvania Association ofCounty Human Services Administrators Summer Showcase was held here in. June. Twenty-five administrators from across the state attended. Our staff and several of our providers gave presentations on the first day. On the second day some of our regional partners presented. Butler Mayor, Bob Dandoy, also gavea presentation. We walked around Butler and toured some of our programs including Crisis, the Mr. Savochka said that inj response to recent events, we are telling people who are looking for assistance or need someone to talk to, to call Center for Community Resources. CCR will connect them toj providers ini the area. SPHS The CARE Center has walk-in hours and therapists available all day during this time. Mr. Savochka announced a Group Crisis Intervention event Mr. Savochka reviewed the state budget. There is a twenty million dollar increase for mental health. There is a five million dollar increase in homeless assistance. Fifteen million dollars of money in the PENNCARES fund, which comes from the lottery, was no longer ini the budget after it was signed. Utilization of our Area Agency on Aging home delivered meals and our Senior Centers has greatly increased since Covid. This will cause a $300,000 deficit for Butler  YWCA family center, and our new recovery center.  will be held at Monarch Place on. July 25.  County and these Aging programs. He announced that the Grapevine has received new: furniture for their Drop-In Center. The golftournament for the Warming Center will be held at Conley's on September 27.
