Minutes- September 3, 2024/1 Town ofClermont Town Council Meeting September 3, 2024 The Clermont Town Council met on September 3, 2024. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00p p.m. Present: Mayor. James Nix, Council Members James Castleberry, Marcia Kesler, John Brady, and Amanda Nix. Town Clerk Amy Lomax also attended. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: James Castleberry moved to approve the agenda. Marcia Kesler seconded, and all Council members present voted in favor. The motion INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Council Member James Castleberry led thei invocation, and Mayor Nix led the Pledge of Allegiance. MINUTES- August 2024: Amanda Nix motioned to accept the August 2024 Minutes. John Brady seconded the motion, and all Council members present voted in favor. Motion FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The Mayor and Council reviewed the. July 2024 Financial REPORT: PLANNING AND ZONING: The Mayor and Council reviewed this report. BALLFIELD LEASE: Town Clerk Amy Lomax asked the Council if anyone had any changes or additions to the annual lease with the North Hall Jr. Trojan baseball organization orl Next Level Sports. The Council had no additions or changes for the upcoming annual lease. Brent Braham and James Campell, with North Hall Jr. Trojans, addressed the Council and said that they have been working on the scoreboard currently on the field and have been unable to get itt to work. They have had the opportunity to get the old North Hall Softball field scoreboard donated. They would like to ask the Council to approve using it to replace the one currently on the field. The organization would be responsible for doing all the work to replace the scoreboard and would use certified electricians to do the electrical work. The Mayor asked ift the scoreboard would be donated to the Town. They responded that once the scoreboard wasj put up, it would stay. The Mayor asked the Council if anyone had any issue with replacing the scoreboard with CLERMONT DAYS 2023: Amy Lomax gave an update on the upcoming Clermont Days Festival this month. The planning is going well; this year, we have over one hundred vendors and a record number of sponsors. We have received enough sponsorship money to cover the fireworks and entertainment.
